Old Lighthouse Road - a *long* hike to the Kauhola Point Lighthouse - you can see it in the distance...	Hawaii common myna bird.	Remember this myna bird - there will be a question about this on another day...	Immature saffron finch, we think...	Adult saffron finch - they just glow -
We think more immature saffron finches.	Another glowing adult saffron finch.	A young saffron finch stalking something...	Speaking of glowing colors...	I don't know what these flowers are, but I love them.
They are so delicate and lacy...	And there are so many parts to them - some seeds are showing here.	The bees like them also...	This was an interesting plant with orange berries...	Same plant but with red berries.
Here you can tell there are red and orange berries on the same plant.	Same plant - with green flower buds, pink flowers, and red and orange berries - all on the same plant simultaneously!	A demure little white flower creeps through the other plants...	Struggling through the thicket...	The purple is a wild verbena - don't know about the yellow flower...
Beautiful little "filamentous" wildflower	Simple and elegant...	Same flowers and what looks like berries on the same plant? Maybe flower buds?	In the strawberry family?	Verbena on the hoof...
We work hard at home to try to get verbena to thrive!	Another delicate little specimen...	So many textures...	The triplets...	There is a lot of joy in a flower...
Lantana seemingly growing wild...	Lantana closeup.	An abundance of seeds for this one...	A tiny wildflower.	Sample of the diverse roadside tangle.
Don made the sacrifice to walk back and bring the car closer - a nice sight...	Another pretty white flower.	More tiny examples.	A big cluster of cockleburrs...	These are ripe and ready to ride out on someone's clothes...
Silky petals...	A weird burl...	Don stands at the turnstile to nowhere...	Steve is still having a good time.	At last we can see water!
And the lighthouse!	The home stretch, with a dove flying by.
